Western Central Atlantic: South Carolina, USA to the Gulf of Mexico.
Morphology: Narrow spatula-shaped lobe from margin of each pectoral. Upper surface ashy gray. Lower surface yellowish white, clouded with mouse gray (Ref. 6902).
Biology: Moderately deep water species (Ref. 6902). Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205).
Red List Status: Not in IUCN Red List (Ref. 57073)
Dangerous: harmless
