Northwest Pacific: known only from Nan-Fong-Ao, northeastern Taiwan.
Morphology: Vertebrae: 120. Body pallid, tan dorsally, whitish below; without scales. Pectoral fin small, about five times eye diameter. Lateral line incomplete, reaching anterior 70.9% of total length (Ref. 31561).
Biology: Maximum depth reported based on a single specimen (Ref. 31561).
Red List Status: Not in IUCN Red List (Ref. 57073)
Dangerous: harmless
