Morphology: Dorsal spines (total): 8 - 8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 19 - 23; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 15 – 18. Some laminate cirri present around lower jaw; no preopercular spines; branchiostegal membranes fused to isthmus with a narrow fold over isthmus (Ref. 559).
