Morphology: Dorsal spines (total): 2 - 2. Firm head inflated. Dorsally scaleless snout extend only to the level of lateral nasal angles. Orbit diameter about 32% of head length; short, blunt snout about 3/4 orbit, slightly less than interorbital; small barbel 1/4 orbit diameter. 1D II,13 (Ref. 11651).
